ADF Hosts 2nd Annual Dinner
The African Development
Foundation (ADF) hosted it’s 2nd annual dinner at the New
York Marriott Marquis on Saturday, June 16, 2007. The star studded
event honored some legendary names in baseball’s past and present
stars including Johnnie ‘Dusty” Baker, Al Jackson, Omar Minaya,
Mariano Rivera, Reggie Smith, Bob Watson, and Dave Winfield. The
event also honored Derek Jeter's Turn 2 Foundation and the Honorable
Pamela Bridgewater, U.S. Ambassador to Ghana for their
outstanding support and contributions towards the development of
baseball in Africa.
